Immigration terminology
We’ve drawn together a set of the more common terms you might come across if you’re planning to emigrate to Canada.
Classes of Immigration
Skilled Worker = 1 year min full time skilled work experience, points system
Business Class = Management experience and investment in Canadian business
Provincial Nomination Program = Fast track to help you settle in a specific province
Family Class = Sponsorship of family members
Quebec Selected = Quebec’s own system
Immigration Offices
London = Canadian High Commission responsible for UK and other applications
Buffalo = Canadian Consulate in US responsible for applications made while resident in Canada
