Hi

Could any one offer advice on the differences between UK and Australian University costs...I have the possibilty of moving to Australia could be Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide. The problem being that my daughter will be starting university next year and in the UK most of her fees are paid for except accomondation, about £2000. I have been on a couple of sites for university in Australia and the fees seem to be about £9000 ayear. Is this correct and is Uni life that expensive? I would appreciate any advice on Uni costs

She is also looking for Universities that do Sports science, as this is her choosen field

Yep, thats the cost for international students (around $28,000 per year). And remember that the courses over here are 4 years unlike the UK courses which are 3 years. Your daughter would also have to be performing at the same level or better than Australian Citizens, as it seems that they get given places first. This is only if you are a temporary visitor. If you are a permanent resident, then the cost goes down considerably.
