sorry if this post is in the wrong place SSue !
The nursing board of victoria took my registration fee on 23rd May and I have still not rec my reg back. This has caused untold problems with my job offer etc. I contacted the nursing board directly, they are very busy - the usual turnaround is 28 days
They said in the reply they could not even guarantee it would be returned by the 1st October !!! Can anyone help ? have they had this problem;how long did they wait ? will it be possible to get my long stay business visa without it and chase it up once we arrive ? any advice would be greatly appreciated Confused

Hi

I know it has been a while since you posted but I am experiencing the same problem at the moment. Did you eventually get your registration? How long did it take? I posted my application in November and still nothing. I read on another forum that it can take up to 8 Months!!! However the agency told me within 12 weeks.

Have you started your new job in Oz? How is it going?

Hi there

I just got my registration, last week. I applied in October 07. When they assessed my application there were a couple of things I had to address. Once I had done that, it seems it was all systems go. You do have to give them a bit of a prod. Keep in contact and check on a regular basis to remind them that you're still there. Check the NBV regularly too.
