Hello.

I would very much like to move to Australia and have spent many happy months on my holidays there. I have lots of friends and extended family there also. I am eligible for skilled migration, but have had treatment for breast cancer (mastectomy and chemo). Can anyone share any experiences they may have in this matter. I am interested to know whether there are any success stories? Or whether I am likely to fail medical.

I am making very tentative steps towards this, but don't want to allow myself to wish incase it's likely to be an absoute no!

I would be happy to private message anyone who may be able to assist.

Thanks,

Okri

Hi Okri, and welcome to BE.

The panel doctors access each case, not your own GP or specialist. Who knows what they'll decide/recommend on the day. They'll have all your medical history available, and because Australia is desperate for skilled workers, of course it's only common sense that they'll favour the most healthy and fit applicants, with a clear medical history.

PM's are only available to established members.

Best wishes,
