) state pension.
If so, what you've heard is true - and there are posts about it on this board already, including
this one. British state pensions paid to residents of Commonwealth countries aren't index-linked, unlike those paid elsewhere. Successive British governments have refused to address this iniquitous anomaly. An attempt was made to force them to do so in the European Court of Human Rights fairly recently, but it failed, and a subsequent appeal was thrown out in March 2010.
