I am considering moving to France (Charleville Mezieres) to live with my French girlfriend and am concerned about getting employed here... I am 25 yrs old and have a BSc (Hons) in Architectural design and technology, but have little experience working within the field in the UK. I have a keen interest in mountaineering, climbing and general outdoorsy stuff. I would like to do some forestry work here as I would be situated in the Ardennes forest... My French is quite basic (A1, touching on A2) but I am a keen and enthusiastic learner. If anyone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Rhys

Hi Rhys. Welcome to the British Expat France forum. I can't be any direct help to you, but I suggest you use your girlfriend's contacts to find out where to contact the local forestry people. If you plan to stay more than 6 months, you'll need to sort out residency and become a local tax resident, too...
