For the very first time, I plan to drive the length of France and through the border into Spain. I have my own domain name, but would very much like to know of a French Internet dial-up. I don't need a French email address ...I just want to avoid dialling England or Spain. Can anybody help?

I am not sure that you can simply dial-up a number for Internet access.
However, you can sign up to a number of ISPs.
I note that free (www.free.fr) will set up your account in 48h, the cost is then around 11cents for the first minute, and then 2cents/min.
You will need to read French to complete the application forms.
Read the British Newspapers online!
