Hi,
My girlfriend and i are musician/performers covering a wide variety of music - we've been on the road playing our music for years throughout Asia, Europe, UK and also done the Cruises etc
We always loved visiting Cote d'Azur and would like to live there, do you think there are possiblities for full time work as a Duo and also a Band throughout Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Menton etc.
We like variety and would be looking for work in all types of venues from Bars, Casinos, Venues, Corporate etc also ranging from Chilled Acoustic, to full on performing.
What do you think are our chances of a full time living and are there many places/venues to play out there...replies much appreciated and rental costs for a flat in the Antibes area
Look forward to hearing from anyone,
Thanks
Dale & Tracy

You'll have to hunt hard to find accommodation at an affordable price around Antibes. I think the best bet would be to sit in a nearby campsite while you suss out the possibilities. I arrived alone a few years ago and managed to find someone to let me sleep on a big, scruffy boat for a couple of nights, but my son and a couple of student friends did find a room to rent for the summer season.

I can't comment on the competition for gigs. If you are actually on the spot you have a far better chance of finding work, though.
