The forum seems to be on the go round the clock, with people getting up just as others are going to bed - or not, as is often the case for me. What's the time where you are? We're GMT + 5.30 (I think!)

What about you?

The clock says 6.20a.m. if it's right, that is.....I'm in Sydney at my sons house, so I can't vouch for it being absolutely accurate.

Hi Sue

I didn't mean the real time, I meant how many hours + or - GMT?

Sorry, just cos I know what I'm thinking I expect others to know too.

Kay Very Happy

PS I hope your son's clock is accurate if any of you have an important appointment!

Ah, Strat, you are behind the times. Or are you just in a space-time continuum warp?

Actually the time difference works well for me. It always gives me a few extra hours to meet deadlines, as most of the deadlines I have are UK based.

Laughing Hi Kay, I'll get back to you with that, it's a bit early for me, obviously I need some more shut-eye. I expect the alarm clocks will be rattling any time soon though!

During the Winter we're on GMT +1. During the Summer the UK is on British Summer Time which is 1 hour ahead of GMT (GMT+1) so in the Summer we're GMT+2. Clear as mud?? 8)

Yep, Not, that's clear. It only gets confusing when the other country has daylight saving (is that what it's called?) too.

OK Not, now I know, thanks for that. In our winter we are GMT + 9 hours, and in our summer, which just started in Oct, we are GMT + 11 hours.

Then we are a pair of noodles together Not, and shouldn't be separated! Laughing

I have just read my computer screen, and it clearly states that all times are GMT. So all we have to do, in future, is look at the time on your post, and then add the hours to reach our time! Got it?

Hi all, back in sunny old Abu Dhabi now and we are GMT+4 hours. Takes a bit of getting used to again, especially having to stop and think of the time before I phone my daughter - got used to being at home and being able to phone when I wanted to!
