Laughing Dave's asleep but I can probably manage it.

I was scared before, in case doing it would put people's postings back to zero but I don't think it's a risk now. Just relax and think of it as a trainee having someone to practise on. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Before I do it - are you serious??? Laughing

I feel so new, so fresh...this new name certainly suits me better than the old one, don't you think? Smile A new identity, a new life...the possibilities are endless. This could be like the witness protection program; I'll start my new life right away...can anyone guess who i used to be? You'll never guess!

Living where you do, JaJ04, I'd have thought that the last thing you'd put in your sig is an incantation to bring more snow!! Take care. Your wish may be granted. I hope you ground and waxed your cross-country skis a month or two ago.

Mind you, if you're kitted out properly, northeasterm winters can be enjoyable. I used to know a contract programmer who lived in a New Hampshire house that had no central heating - just a big fire in the centre of the living room - who was quite happy to ski to work when the roads were bad.
Did you know that espadrilles were worn by footsoldiers in the XIIIth century?

I like cross-country ski-ing but my skis are in the loft in our London house. We never seem to get the postings where they might be useful. I doubt if I'll need them in Thailand either.

One time in Scotland I decided to ski from home to the Post Office (which was a couple of miles away) just because it seemed like a fun thing to do, and I met an old couple who were out for a walk. The man was so impressed with this that he wanted to take my photo. I don't like having my photo taken, but I agreed as it would've been a shame to disappoint him since he was so enthusiastic about seeing someone on skis.

timetravelingJaj - you have my sympathies. If it's of any consolation (i.e. no, it's not), it's been snowing constantly here for about 3 days, but it's still too wet for it to settle properly in any depth. It's almost like British snow, and i prefer none to that !!

Well actually, it seems to be. Unfortunately just not in the bit where you are. Yellowknife seems to be doing ok, perhaps you should move there...
