Happy New Year to all those ahead of GMT, guess it soon will be for SSue and other Antipodeans, and of course, first on the list will be the Fijian contingent!

I'm eleven hours ahead of gmt...........and I don't know as I like being called an Anti whatsit either Crying or Very sad!

I'm just watching the famous fireworks on tv, from Sydney Harbour. We were going to join our son and family for the celebrations, but I started being sick last night, temperature, sore throat, headache and stupid tickly cough, so I'm grounded!

Keep your pecker up Julie, and hang in there, it will get easier, honest. Be careful you don't get too attached to that bottle though, it'll only make you more homesick and maudlin. Been there, tried that Laughing

So sorry, SSue...you obviously caught that from me...i've been fighting it all week as well. Only 8:30 am here, so a few hours before the celebrations start, but not for me. I'll be at work keeping the skies safe for all the *&#@!$% people who want to fly tonight.

All happiness and success to all of you from all of me!

Julie - hang in there, we all get these feelings, and this is a time of year that tends to magnify them! Be strong and don't let the buggers get you down!

Jeez, Little Susie, you must be REALLY sick not to go and see the Sydney Fireworks live. I've just seen it on TV, and as a Cowes Week veteran I would crawl on my hands & knees for a firework show over water on that scale - 'specially if I knew someone with a boat.

May 2004 bring solutions and opportunities to all of you - and hang in there Julie and lorac/Carol. We're thinking about you even if we haven't posted on your threads. Some of us might come up with something useful if you give us time for the fumes to clear.... Don't do anything we wouldn't do. WE NEED YOU. If you can't think of anything else to do, just come on over to Ruggies - where virtual drinks cause totally ignorable virtual hangovers.
Did you know that espadrilles were worn by footsoldiers in the XIIIth century?
