I think I have had this problem before, but I can't remember how I fixed it. I used to have a little envelope that came up on my task bar when I had email. This doesn't appear any more. I get the sound when I am sitting at my computer but no little envelope.

I went to Tools and Options in Outlook Express but I can't find anywhere to tell it I want that little envelope.

Can someone tell me? Then I will write it down and when it happens again, I wont have to ask.

Maybe the best advice is not to use Outlook Express. It's the one most targeted by viruses etc. Try Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/

Actually, someone else told me that. So I downloaded Firefox and Thunderbird and the last time I ran spybot I had nothing there. Adaware came up with 13 things, which is much less than usual.

I am keeping them!

I don't use PC's a lot as I am a Mac user but if you right click the task bar do you get an option to add a task, then select Outlook to add it to the bar.... just a guess!

Hope this helps
