Hi There...

I am a new Author, in the process of having my first book published - 'Didgeridoo's & Didgeridont's' A humorous/fact-based guide to overcoming the 'hidden' calamities of emigrating to Australia from the UK during the first year.

My reason for posting this, is that my publisher has set me the task of finding a 'famous & relevant' person to write me a foreword. I am lucky enough to have many testimonials already and from some fantastic sources, but I was really hoping to see if I could find anyone else (e.g Rolf Harris... Dame Edna... Editor of BE??!) to write me a short endorsement.

My book is not intended as an exhaustive travel manual, or even a 'how to' guide - what it does cover is actual experiences that the majority of all Brits will face during the first year - and how to deal with them, without enduring numerous vacuous moments. It is a collection of diary entry-style short stories; insider knowledge from official sources; invaluable tips and information never-before published in any other books.

I'm afraid I can't think of any famous people I know. I have met Gordon Brown, the current British PM. He might be "relevant" because of being one of the reasons why so many people want to become expats.

I wonder if you might be able to contact any TV celebs via the BBC or C4 websites? Just a thought.
