this an interesting story, and the fallout from the publication of the BNP membership list last year
article
apart from the general stance behind the vote, namely its not acceptable for a priest to be a member of a political organisation that is racist (and anyone who doesn't believe BNP are racist, one look at their website and the postings from the general public should soon fix that), it was the following I thought interesting
"Last year, a list of 12,000 BNP members was leaked on the internet. Five Church of England clergy members were on the list although none was a serving Anglican priest at the time. Others members on the list showed
clear Christian affiliations, including bell ringers and cathedral tour guides"
so a cathedral tour guide has to be Christian ? I'm an atheist, but I love cathedrals, and would be very happy to be a tour guide.
The membership list makes fascinating reading - not so much the names (unless you come across a neighbour or relative

), but for the personal info some have given - here's a few random ones
