This report comes from a London-based firm. If the report is biased towards the London property market, that's pretty serious - but not entirely unexpected given the shortage of mortgage funds and the return to more realistic assessments of people's ability to repay. It will only be good news for those with the capital and the marginal income sufficient to obtain a mortgage.

But if you can take a longer view there is, and will continue to be, a shortage of property in the UK. c.

I reckon there always will be. That's why property ownership is an important part of personal wealth in a crowded island...
