Dear forumites.

I will shortly be commencing a tax free job in Saudi (my family will join me but my wife wont work).

Before I leave the UK I will ensure I complete all of the necessary documentation with HMRC to become non-resident in the UK. It doesn't look too complicated but everybody I talk to is telling me that I need to obtain tax advice now to ensure when I return I do not suffer tax on monies i bring back or indeed monies that I may transfer back regularly.

Frankly I just don't have the £1,000+ that advisers are looking to charge but I'm worried as there is little point moving us all if I end up paying tax on my income/savings?

Can anybody please help with advice?
