We've not changed the POTW for a few weeks now and are currently running a mediocre one of mine as a space filler.

I'm sure some of you talented people must have something for us. Pretty please?

I've got some in the pipeline. Would have had one by now, but I submitted a roll of slide film - took a week to get it developed and then they forgot to scan it to CD. By next week I should have both that film and the digital pics my elder son took at our younger son's wedding, reputed to include a picture of one guy in the air during a flying press-up fairly late in the evening of the reception....

You just know I'm going to have one or two (Up to 11,500 shutter releases on my camera now) Laughing

The autumn colours are peaking right now here in North Georgia. Here's a quick shot I took while passing through the little mountain town of Suches on Sunday. I'm frantically working hard this week to earn a day off to spend in the mountains to take better advantage of nature's display. If I manage it, there'll be more photos to come.

That really is an incredible photo, the colours and composition are superb.

I can easily see why you would want to live there.

Wow!

And thanks.

Not very good quality, I'm afraid - but maybe the subject will compensate:

fyi, the screen cleaner's name is 'Attitude'. At 6 weeks, she used to fight with a Dobermann puppy.

Shocked Laughing Laughing Are they still ever round each other? And if so, do they still spar?

-- Just put Alan's Suches photo up as our new PotW. Love the autumn colours, though on the other hand I wouldn't leave here to go back to a climate that experiences autumn.

For a few days between the photo Kay mentions and Alan's, we had a photo of a breakfast we had in Minehead last year, helping kick off a new feature on the main site that we've been thinking about for some time - a photo gallery of breakfasts. If any of you have photos of breakfasts that you'd to share with us, we'd love to see them... Very Happy

No. Now she teases three dogs which are part Rhodesian Ridgeback. The Doberman belonged to the veterinary nurse who looked after Attitude for us while we were away for a few days. She's the person who rechristened her 'the kitten with attitude'. Until then, the kitten was known as Pushkin because we took her home in a Vodka carton. Someone pointed out that we shoudl have called her Pushka - but then the connection wouldn't have been obvious.

I've now seen the pics my elder son took at the wedding party. The flying press-up is a 3 or 4 frame continuous sequence. Is there an easy way of putting this on the web at around 2 frames a second?

I don't have the orignals yet - the whole set of 180 pics is on Kodak Easyshare at the moment.

Mike, you can create an animated gif with many graphics applications - including the gif. This seems a prime candidate for that treatment.

You can post videos on Photobucket. Maybe that would work.

Oops, I just looked at my last post and it should have read: "Mike, you can create an animated gif with many graphics applications - including the gimp.", although you probably worked that out yourself Very Happy .
