Anybody out there have any opinions on why this programme which features most of Europe on a regular basis and is no doubt partly responsible for the huge interest in British foreign property investments, Only managed to put out one feature for Malta/Gozo.? I am pretty sure i know the answer already but am interested in other views. Thanks in anticipation, Dave.

Ok, I'll go for the obvious reasons !

Gozo and Malta are small - a programme on Malta is on all of Malta, whereas one on a region of Spain still leaves alot to be covered

Property (to buy) is not cheap in Malta

Today your remark was shown to be true, a place in the sun, home and away aired on channel 4, Nottingham or Gozo with a budget of 120k, shot in autumn 2007, i missed the u/k part but the main interest there was a buy to let small terraced, it didn,t get any better in Gozo either, the young woman was shown round two very small apartments which clearly didn,t float any boats, her choice however was in Gozo, a new build house in shell form that looked like it was fitted in between two present homes making it an unusual shaped house of triangular proportions and the views best seen through the gaps in the stones. the builder told the presenter he would finish the build for 15k (not sure what extent the finish was, Laughing, brave lady).

A triangular shaped house? Interesting. I've just read The Philosophy of Andy Warhol and among many other interesting things he recommended that a triangular-pyramid type of house would be a good move because then you wouldn't have to think about what colour to paint the ceiling. It's always one less thing to think about.

I saw this episode last year and again today. They showed her an apartment for £73,000.

I thought foreigners buying an apartment had to spend a minimum of nearer £100,000 ?
