Hi People

I am doing a research on Car Buying Behavior in Malta for my Master Thesis and need some(quite a lot) help

I am kindly requesting you to complete the online survey by clicking on the following link:

Please answer all 3 sections of the survey, it should not take more than 10 minutes. Once you complete the survey kindly click on FINISHED to submit your answers. The results will be available at the university of Malta or by request directly to me on this email address.

Note that you are not requested to fill in any details that will be able to identify you and any details you fill in will remain strictly confidential.

Completed the survey and within minutes I received an enquiry from a motor dealer in my in-box but not addressed to me.
Methinks we've been had.

Me neither, and I don't recall being asked for any contact information at any stage. Mind you, my head's been elsewhere today so I may have actually bought a car on line and not know it

No, they didn't have my em@il address. The address in "To" is the same as the address in "From". I've no idea how that works!

They use a blind copy list (BCC) but they must have your email address to reach you.

Chris, I've just been to have a look at the survey (I answered enough questions to get me to the final page, but didn't click "Finish") and wasn't asked for contact details at any stage.

So unless email addresses are asked for after clicking "Finish" to post the data (and from what Mr Kriss says, that appears not to be the case), I think this must have been an unfortunate coincidence.

(If on the other hand email addresses are requested, bear in mind the usual Internet warnings, and check that a credible privacy policy is in place.)

Dave, after clicking 'Finish' one is presented with a kind 'Offer' to allow you to regsiter and use the survey service for free (which, remarkably, I declined).

I also declined. It must just be me but then I am due to drop another mental notch or two when I move next week.

By the way. If it asks you to register for free surveys please decline. You register on that site if you want to construct surveys. In my survey i dont ask for any email or other sensitive personal information that can identify you!
