Any clues?

Hi Technics, and welcome to the forum

I suspect there will be either loads of places, none at all. There used to be loads, but a number of companies have dropped renting them due to high insurance costs (tourists keep falling off them)

Not really seen many tourists on mopeds really - there will be a couple of places somewhere. Probably best to have a look at the website of a Maltese version of a certain colour-coded business directory and see what you can find.

I don't know Bugibba very well, but in Gozo alot of the renters have closed down - 5 years ago it was really easy to rent a moped in Gozo, much less so now, and those that are, tend to be expensive due to insurance.

I have a moped, but it doesn't get used alot in the winter when you will be here - the roads are not great when wet, esp when just damp as get slippery. Plus the potholes get bigger..

If you are here for 3 months, it would be far cheaper to buy a 2nd hand moped (say € 500) - as long as you don't trash it, you will probably get the same price for it when you leave. Insurance is only around €60-70 for a year (3rd party), as long as you are over 25
