How dare you show up on our forum and crap your spammy link on us?

If you want to advertise - you can buy an advert.

If you want to become part of our friendly community, then you could try to give a little before you take.

People who show up and dump links on us are not welcome. Evil or Very Angry Even worse, you tried to do it on your very first posting on here. Did you expect people to think "Oh, goodie" and rush over to your site. If you had any sense at all, you'd realise that most people are going to think, "Oh sh!t, here's another spammer."

What a twit. You should learn how to behave before being let loose on the internet. By the way. You're banned.

We-ell... I didn't mention girls, but since you have, I have a very nice domain for sale.

http://www.9irls.com/

Seriously, you get some idiots who think they can pull the wool over your eyes and trick you. We are not stupid and we've been doing this for more than a decade. We know every dirty trick in the book. We can sniff out a spammer a hundred yards away. It's kinda insulting that they're so stupid and they think/hope that we might be too. We're not.

We keep this place clean for you. And thanks to all our Malta supporters and premium members who put the food on our table while we strive to keep this community clean and useful. Very Happy

Kay,
Although not relevant to this forum the idea did look mildly interesting - at least to an old sod who's got nothing else to do.

It might help your BP if it were possible to pre-moderate newbie first posts. I did mention this before but got my head bitten off because I had posted immediately following a spam post, thereby giving it a permanent presence.

Us lowly contributors are not always aware of these technical issues but having sulked for a few weeks I thought I might risk your wrath by raising it again.

It might do, Chris, but think of all the fun she'd miss out on. Twisted Evil

Actually, I've done a bit of work on setting up pre-moderation and technically it certainly is possible, though it'd take a little bit of setting up.

And of course there'd be fewer opportunities for visible moderation if all the spammers were stifled before reaching the boards - although I suppose we could approve one here and there, only to snatch away their posting privileges the moment they'd been granted. Laughing

Chris - I did not bite your head off. I am a very picky eater, as anyone who knows me will confirm. And I don't eat fat. Twisted Evil

Yeah, pre-moderation is probably what's needed. We're doing that on my new foodie forum. What a shame that things should come to this. Why can't people just behave themselves without spamming and crapping on other peoples' places.

Chris, gawd knows why that funny grinning emoticon you just used is called "Mr Green". I assure you it wasn't my doing. It's entirely coincidental.

Love and kisses, Kay Very Happy
