We will be looking at Malta property in June. We have also been looking in Cyprus, where there is a big problem with title deeds. There is basically a big backlog with the Land registry, so you may have to wait years for your deeds.

Is there any problem in Malta with deeds? Do sellers normally have them ready?

Thanks for any info.

AFAIK title deeds are generally held by notaries (or the bank if a mortgage ?) - Malta seems to be efficient in this matter
