Hi Everyone,

I've got the following question. When entering the details of my car on the Used Car Valuation page, it gave out the following info:

Registration Value €1,967.00
Vehicle Length (mm) 4576 4576

Registration Tax €1,274.00 €1,274.00

The question is: which of the above fees (figures) I'll have to pay upon registration of my car? The reg. value - €1,967.00 , or the Reg tax: €1,274.00

ps the reg value is the car's "worth", used in calculating the tax

full definition of reg value, from the valuation website "The registration value is the residual cost, insurance and freight (CIF) of an equivalent or similar vehicle which was purchased new in Malta. The basic formula is (CIF New/Price New x Average Used Price), where the average used price is calculated through a price ratio showing the relationship between local market prices and information which is published by CAP Motor Research Ltd."
