Good evening,

I am interested to know about getting a social security number in Malta.

Is this linked to my UK national insurance number,or am i basically a "new person" in Malta ?

How does it work with regards to pension payments etc ?

So how will the goverment know how much I have paid in Malta and also in the UK ? They must be linked somehow ?

You will tell them when you are retiring that you have paid SS contribs in another EU country
