what kind of place is this? I get this, some woman talks about ants and referrs to some article written in 2001? Is this usual at this board??? If so, I can not say honestly that I like it

I can not delete double postings. I can not find my own postings, board is flaky, very flaky. I am not interested in Genealogy.com. (but ok, ads). Pheeeew

bare with me, some of the issues are just me being not accustomed to the board, some are not... but this is the GOOD Vibes thread, ne? So, just want to say, so far the input is good and the answers too, Malta seems really good! I guess that is the important. (Site needs updating though, u confuse people n scare them away by using old stuff). And, yeah, reading almost all here makes me think of other countries to relocate to, despite the cold.

yes, I understand that, but why is the site highlights this to me? One click. Bad quality imo.

Micke, I have no idea what you're talking about most of the time and you don't seem to be making any sense. You don't fit in here so it'll be easier if we just say goodbye and perhaps you can find somewhere else to post your ideas.

Yes, the forum software is old. We had an upgrade a few years ago and it was met with howls of protest from regulars, because most people prefer to continue with what they're familiar with. We haven't attempted any major upgrade since. We have many users who are happy enough using the forum as it is. No one has asked us to upgrade it or even expressed any interest in such a thing.

Your points about articles from 2001, women who talk about ants, Fiji, and genealogy are strange to say the least. I have no idea what your problem is, but my suggestion to solve it is that you just leave this site alone. Therefore, I'm deactivating your account.

I hope that this action will save you from ants, women, genealogy, and any other thing that's bothering you.

That pun was the obvious give away, not clever, neither was his part quote of my post, another tease. He's another one who need to get out more and meet real people!

I know. Maybe I should have done it sooner. But Rotties aren't as aggressive as some people think they are, and I was trying to give the guy a chance.

Anyway, the above isn't the end of the story. According to the email we received later, he seems to think he got banned because he's not English.

I wouldn't count on it Kay. I actually think he is probably a friendless, really weird sad individual from the UK (probably wears an old mack too!), with nothing better to do. Notice how he just happened to have a Japanese girl friend? and and notice too, he had no trouble with his post to me except of course intentionally at the end.

Well, I suspected that he was the type to come back with a new user name so we put an IP block on him. Of course that won't stop him coming back if he changes his IP, but we're fairly vigilant and will spot it very quickly if it happens.

None of our members want to put up with disruptive people in our community. I don't particularly like banning people but sometimes it has to be done for the comfort of the majority of our group.
