Thanks Mark great info as usual and straight to the point.

The third scenario seems most likely, but may it not take an actual collapse, but just a bit of a falling out of the two parties and the slightest sniff of an election?

We bought Euros at our local bucket shop on Friday; got 1.206, not good but Tommy C was less than that

When I ask for the rate I say 'How many Euros for £1000, rather than ask the exchange rate; sometimes they try to fiddle a bit for expenses - even though they quote 'commission free'

European stock markets have fallen sharply as concerns mount over Greece's future in the euro.

Shares fell after a report quoted former Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos saying that the Greek government may be making preparations for leaving the euro.
