Hello Everyone,

I am about to move to Malta with my husband and my dog (a small dachshund) and I am a little stuck in the process of finding a flat.

I have been in touch with some people from Remax and Dhalia but both agents told me it will not be easy to find anything in Sliema if I want to move in with a dog.

Do you know any other way to find a flat that will accept "us"?

Thanks!

Hi valang,

Its not easy, but not impossible either. The issue is 2 fold - first it maybe written into the apartment block agreement that no pets are allowed, and second, the landlord might not want pets in their apartment. Guaranteeing to pay for any damage caused by your dog may help solve the latter, but not the former. The good news is even if only 1% of apartments would allow your dog, there are so many available, that you will find some I'm sure Smile
