Hi all,

We have just moved to gozo to live with our 5 months old baby, and we find the house pretty cold at night. We have bought a gas heater but wish to know where we can buy the bottles. We know they deliver to the house once a week but we need it for this weekend because our baby is sick.

Do you have an empty cylinder ?

If you do, you can exchange for a full one from the two distribution centres in Gozo - one in San Lawrenz, one in Xewkija, or weekly from the gas van (as you mention)

if you don't have an empty, I believe you have to order one - best to speak to Enemalta - New gas orders and replacement of gas cylinders :21651661/2/3/4/5

prices, and deposits, are here http://www.enemalta.com.mt/page.asp?p=952&l=1

Hello

If you're desparate I have a full one that's not in use - you could have it until you get one sorted out - email me if you're interested and I'll give you details of where I live - I have no transport at the moment so you'd need to collect it and deliver one back when you're ready.

Cheers

Jane

Do you have the address or directions please? I need to get a spare and someone told me you could get them from the gas truck man's house in San Lawrenz but didn't come back with the details.

JJ,

The house is on the corner of Triq Wied Merill and Cangura.

Entering San Lawrenz square from Victoria, drive through the square to the left of the church and turn first left. Turn right into Triq Wied Merill and the house is on the corner on your right. Ring the bell on the garage door (not the house itself) and they will come to you. If it's during the week watch out for large trucks coming from the quarry!

95% of the time they will be there, but if for any reason there is no answer, keep going along Triq Wied Merill out of the village and after about 250 yards you will see the gas storage yard on your left. If the gates are open, sound your horn or shout and they will come to you (no entry for safety reasons). If they're shut go back to the garage and try again.

Thanks. I can almost visualise it. I've cycled past the gas storage yard just where the road turns into a track down the to top of the Azure Window and I suspected that the house wouldn't be far away.
