Malta - British Expat Forum

First of all, thanks to our supporters for your help in keeping this forum going and also supporting the animals in the care of Gozo SPCA.

We're in the process of setting up a new private board for our Malta forum supporters.

All our existing supporters will be grandfathered into this new board at no extra charge. Please just bear with us while we go through the list of supporters to change your permissions and give you access to it. 8)

The new private board is called the Supporters' Marketplace (SM). Our supporters can use this private board to buy, sell, exchange, and post small ads which are viewable only by other supporters. There is no charge for posting your small ads on there.

You could use this board for accommodation wanted, bits and pieces for sale, or pretty much anything. But you'll only be advertising to other supporters and not to the general public. If you want to advertise to the general public, you'll still need to buy an advert in the adverts section.

And now for the price increase... As mentioned earlier all existing supporters don't need to pay anything more. However, for new RS members, the price will be going up to a one-off charge of £25 on 1st October 2009. We'll leave a window of opportunity for people to buy in at the old price until then.

There are now over 50 members of the recommended suppliers forum, many of whom are the most active posters on the Malta forum, so hopefully the new advertising board will get a lot of use. For people in the process of moving to Malta, it should be a great place to post a list of any items you are looking to buy second hand, or for those who have arrived and find they brought far too much stuff with them (which seems to be most of us !), you can advertise a list of items you are looking to sell.

With 50% of the higher membership fee going to Gozo SPCA, that means from Oct 1st that an animal will be sponsored every time 2 new members sign up, rather than 3 before
