Hi, I am a time served painter who also has experience in spray painting and shot and sand blasting. My partner and I and our 2 girls ( 6 and 1 ) are looking to move to new zealand but there doesn't seem to be the same call for painter as there is in Australia. Can anyone tell us the job situation for painters in nz and any advise on how to go about setting a job up? My partners brother is in the auckland area so somewhere about there would be good. Also what visa would be best? Thanks.

Hi, and welcome.

I've shifted your posting from the Kia Ora board because that's for general socialising and you're looking for help and information.

Your visa question really belongs on the immigration board - please re-post it there. Thanks. Smile

Not my area but majority of homes in NZ are made of weather board of differing materials. I imagine there must be a huge need for these to be painted on the outside, especially the ritcher persons of NZ lol

Not sure where you would start looking but gimmie a few days I will see what I can do.
Is your UK home unoccupied? Intasure can help.
