Hi all we are planning to move to Spain in the summer our kids in a state school in September, we are going to live near Benissa.

My children are aged 2 and 10. Does any one know what the name of the schools that are in Benissa and if anyone has any advise about the transition from living in London to moving the kids to Spain.

I would like to try and make the transition as easy for the girls as possible. I am more worried about my 10 year old thou. Any post will be grateful.

Thanks
Razz

Firstly don´t worry, our children, 7 and 8 yrs have been in school in Spain for three years, however it was in a private school on the costa blanca. We are moving to Benissa and they are going to go to Manuel Bru. There are two state schools a a couple of private schools ( costs 4-5000 pa ) plus some extras. We decided that ours are ready now for an easy transition into state as they speak fair Spanish. You need at Manuel Bru to go on the 3rd Sep to register, 5th and 6th meet the teachers and start 7th. Please email me if you need their numbers. You never know we may meet on the gates !! One thing to remember is that the schools here are a little dated but there is general honest interest in the schooling.
