Applying For Alberta Health Care

I landed in Calgary as a PR on October 25 2006. I was here for about 3 weeks before I got around to applying for my Alberta Health Care Card. So it's been around 2 and a half months since I applied, I heard from them on December 12 because they asked me to fax off proof of my address. So I did and have heard nothing since. Can anyone share their experience on applying for Alberta Health Care - how long it took to come thru etc? I just feel it's taking forever!

If you attend the Health Care Office in Calgary and do the paperwork, it usually takes 14 days for the cards to come through.
