Israeli vulture detained by Saudis for spying

Some people like to talk politics, others don't. I've made a separate forum so you can post if you want or ignore it if you don't. Hope this is an acceptable compromise.

Israeli vulture detained by Saudis for spying

Here's a rather curious news story.

It's difficult to know which side to believe but it does seem rather unlikely to me that a vulture would be used as a spy. What do you think?

I'm really not sure what use knowledge of a bird's movements would be to a spy agency unless it was also carrying some kind of camera - otherwise, this just sounds like paranoia and silliness. Just another day in Middle Eastern diplomatic relations, then.

Ignorant paranoia on the part of the people who discovered the bird. Cynical manipulation as a follow-up.

Same with the shark story.
