is it possible to abandon a 2 stop flight half way through?

is it possible to abandon a 2 stop flight half way through?

Postby ferrencebeeb » Wed 2 Aug 2006 09:32 GMT

Hi,

I'm trying to go from hanoi to shanghai on the 20th of August. I'm using kelkoo.co.uk and I've found that Hanoi to Nanning is 90 quid then Nanning to Shanghai is 134 quid.

The hanoi - nanning flight stops in guanzhou, so I checjed guanzhou to shangahi and it's 100 quid. So then I tried hanoi to guanzhou and it's 172 quid! even when the hanoi - nanning flight is 90 quid and stops in guanzhou.

Is it possible to get the hanoi to nanning flight and just abandon it in guanzhou?

Cheers

Tom

I think it's possible. Why don't you contact the travel agency? Or the flight company?

Depends if they let people off, or it's just a refuel.

And of course, you have to make sure your baggage is unloaded too...

Tony's right. The only kind of flight which, in principle, you could jump off part-way through is one with a stopover or a change to an internal feeder flight.

Have they given a reason and more importantly, have they given you an alternative or do you have to find that yourself?
