Paraguay, named after the river that flows centrally through it, is one of just two landlocked countries in the Americas. What else do you know about it?

If you've got kids of school age, or you're considering studying in Bulgaria yourself, this is where to post.

Dear All,

Don't know if you're aware but we recently heard that Bulgarian qualifications generally are not recognised in the rest of Europe. We asked a couple of Bulgarians if that was true and they agreed but thought it would change now that Bulgaria is a part of the EU. I think some certified courses are accepted but most are not. In terms of your own children's education if you want to stay in Bulgaria you may need to consider the international schools to be sure of them being able to find employment outside the country. It may explain why we meet many Bulgarians who finish school and take university courses abroad.
