Import on Powertools

Postby Katastrofee » Thu 27 Jul 2006 12:16 GMT

Hello again!

We are importing all our powertools to renovate with, and are either hiring a van in UK to do so or buying a van to take over there.

What I wanted to find out was, do we have to pay import tax on all our tools that we bring in?

THanks!

Import Tax

Postby AlecH » Mon 3 Sep 2007 09:55 GMT

As far as I am aware, (but don't quote me on it) now that BG are an EU member you should not have to pay tax on these as the ethos of the EU is "Free movement of goods and labour". Correct me if I am wrong but I plan to do the same thing as you and would not expect to pay any taxes on such things.
