transferring batches (water and electricity)

Postby jnp » Wed 28 May 2008 12:15 GMT

We have just purchased a property SE of Kurdjali. Our estate agent is offering to transfer the 'batches' for water and electricity, but it will cost up to 200 euros, which seems extortionate. We will be in the country ourselves anyway, and would like to do this ourselves. Could somebody please post detailed information of how to find the 'batch numbers', how we know which companies to inform of the change of ownership (ie which company supplies us), and exactly how to inform them (eg if it requires a form, how do we obtain that form?).
Any information would be much appreciated.
