Quiz: opening lines

Just a bit of fun - no prizes. (Sorry!)

One point for getting the song title, one point for the artist. So a maximum of 40 points if you get the lot.

PM your answers to me by 0200 GMT on Monday 10 January. Best of luck!

The only one I know is number 16..... Dates me, doesn't it?

Actually, several others are familiar, but I can't name the songs or complete the lyrics.

I managed about half a dozen. Mostly those remembered from my schooldays. I'm no use at pop trivia anyway.

Is anyone else up for it?
