And here I was thinking you might be THAT Dave Dee... Long time since I've heard that group. How about this for another bit of nostalgia:

That group sent me up and around the bend in the past. More recent, a star is born,

First time I've ever seen X-Factor. Higher standards than I expected.

Which is a great shame.

Watched his other performances.

He really does have a stage presence, appears a bit moody, but surely that fits in with what he is singing.

Hope he manages to break into a good contract with someone.

He's good, but I think he's presenting himself the wrong way. He does seem moody and introverted, and that should be part of the act. Remember the guy who used to wear a flat 'at and sing at the piano, looking as if he were playing in some dive bar? Can't recall his name.

Was that the Irishman that became an overnight sensation after walking on the stage of the golden shot dressed in schoolboy attire forty years ago, hung his cap on a hatstand, sat at his piano and belted out a song which nothing rhymed, stood up, cap back on and walked off with no expression and literally never looked back, what an audition that was.

Sadly, that all fell apart when they discovered Vol: 2 of the instructions for Irish Dance - "How to Incorporate the Arm Movements".
