What is the correct order to do things in?

I'm arriving in Malta next tuesday (yahhhoooo!!) and we will need to get all the paperwork in order and I am a little confused as to what is required first in terms of

1. Registering as Resident
2. Obtaining the eResident cards
3. Registering for Tax
4. Registering for NI
5. Registering as Self Employed
6. Getting health card cards??

Is there a sticky that identifies the sequence of steps, what we need at which step and where to go for each?

Thanks!!

1 and 2 are the same
6 - do you mean EHIC ? - I'll assume you do, in which case

1-5 can all be done immediately, no particular order
6 can only be done once you start paying social security contributions (NI)

Thanks Mark

I've read through the FAQ but wasn't sure if 'a depended upon b which assumed you had c' :)

I guess next Wednesday we will start the process :)

Yep, we are here staying at a friends house and getting to find our way around and learning to pronounce town names LOL

We are getting our photos done tomorrow and then we can take a trip to get the Residency process started.

Also started to look for an apartment of our own - there is a huge range of qualities with very few of a standard that I would accept so it might take some legwork to find just what we are looking for - I guess we were spoiled living in the USA for so long :)

It's proving to be quite the adventure!
