Money matters

Tax on business premises

No, really... it does!
But does it matter more in Malta than at home?

Tax on business premises

Postby justfran » Mon 12 Apr 2010 12:53 GMT

Does anyone know if on a business premises..ie...shop,restaurant etc...do you pay any type of tax on the property.....ie here in the UK we pay Business rates....as well as rent....this is all set by the local councils..... (and in my case I am also hammered for an Improvement District Levy....the money is also collected by the local council and pays for street rangers etc,,)

I have emailed a couple of agents but never seem to get a reply to basic questions... :(

I hope I posted this in the right place....
Thanks
Fran

Go to the Maltese Govt website.
http://www.gov.mt/index.asp?l=2

I think you might find most of your answers there. Could take a bit of searching though.
