Money matters

fill up your car and change your gas tanks...

No, really... it does!
But does it matter more in Malta than at home?

Diesel in my area is currently around £1.38/litre I was rather shocked to discover yesterday. That is out in the sticks but still.

Gulp - fuel is the same price all over Malta (by law) - diesel is € 1.21 today, so likely to be € 1.30 odd tomorrow = £ 1.11

It is a big worry knowing where the price of oil is going to stop. We currently live so far from what I consider civilisation that I do spend a lot of time driving to and from things ie 60 mile round trip to nearest cinema, 100 round trip to a decent one. 20 mile round trip to supermarket, 60 mile for a decent one. you get the picture.
Last time I filled up I followed another car leaving a pump (jeep type thing) £105 was what it cost them! At those prices we can't really afford to travel that far but we HAVE to. Roll on next summer when at least we can get around on the bus once we move.
