Mr Warlock, When the good people arrive on Gozo via these many punctual Malta transport options, how reliable are the bus services over there.

put it this way, when the bus strike happened in Malta it didn't in Gozo, but the bus service in Sannat is so infrequent it took a couple of days to realise........ :D Its a problem in many villages in Gozo - if I had loads of money (or became Chief Warlock of Gozo and its surrounding territories) I'd love to pay for a tram service in Gozo (and maybe ban cars entirely...)

like Valletta in Malta, in Gozo, buses run to/from Victoria

bus Mgarr to Victoria - very good

Xaghra,Qala, Nadur have a good service - it then starts to deteriorate rather quickly

the airport bus may have stopped running, to be replaced by a private sector operator - details in the "recommended suppliers" forum

The shuttle bus was still being advertised on Melita weather page this week.

presumably an old ad still running. Ive received confirmation that the shuttle bus has been replaced by a private sector operated coach, who will run a much more regular service.

From what I can make out, this week at least (the airport info was very vague and evasive, and its now linked off the Channel web page) its the existing Maltatransfers service, twice the price of the old shuttle service? ie 10euro to/from the ferry.

According to to their web page you have to book 24hrs in advance, although the Airport info desk told us to ask the soldier for permission and go back into arrivals to see the rep. We gave up and took the normal buses.

If this is the permanent replacement service, it looks like you can get there cheaper using some of the online taxi booking services.
