Arriva and the eResidency 60+ card

Postby FOXGLOVE » Sat 9 Nov 2013 12:45 GMT

We have used our eResidence 60+ cards for the last 2 weeks with no problem on Arriva buses in Gozo and on the ferry but today the one I have been expecting was driving the bus!.

'No you have to have both the Kartanzjan and the 60+ card or its' 1.50'

apparently that is his interpretation of the website and the other drivers are not doing there job properly. ( I actually had a print of the web page and previous discounted tickets in my wallet)

Have sent an email to customer care at Arrive but I am not going to hold my breath.

Probably easier to buy a monthly 10 euro ticket and not have the hassle and if you use the bus a couple of times a week it's just as cheap

Crazy - its not his job to interpret the website - its Arriva's job to tell him what the rule is

I was wrong, I did get a reply from Arrive today and they have apologised so I'll keep a copy of there email, shown below, in my wallet and see if that works when I come up against another awkward driver,

Copy of email received from Arriva - 10/11/13:

Can I ask how one gets an e-Resident 60+ card please?
Is it automatically issued to anyone over 60 on their OR application?
