UK and Sweden - remittance basis of taxation

Postby Hanka » Tue 24 Apr 2012 12:52 GMT

Does anyone know where I could find some comprehensive clarification of double taxation agreement between Sweden and UK? I read all information on the HMRC website and I read the text of the agreement and I am not wiser. Or maybe somebody is able to tell me what remittance basis of taxation means in practice. Does it mean that if I bring my UK earnings to Sweden I have to pay Swedish tax on the amount brought to Sweden? Do I have to pay tax on the amount of my British savings used to pay for a house here?
