British Expat is now affiliated with Intasure who specialise in property insurance for expats.

In a nutshell, they offer:

UK holiday home insurance - we've been searching for ages to try to find someone who will insure property in the UK which is left unoccupied for more than 90 days. At last we've found it. This policy, underwritten by Lloyds of London, allows expats who retain a UK base to insure their property as a "UK holiday home" provided that the house is furnished and the premiums are paid in sterling.

They also do expat home insurance in Spain, France & Portugal. For this the client needs to reside in those countries for at least six months of the year.

And also of interest is insurance for holiday homes/second homes in 25 popular holiday destination countries in Europe and elsewhere. For this policy the client should be a UK resident for at least six months of the year.

Similarly, if you have a website related to Portugal you can join Intasure too and sell their products to earn commission for yourself. Please quote our introducer's number if you join, as again we get some commission (at no cost to you) for introducing you.
