Hi,

If one purchase a property in Portugal is there a need to inform any department here in the UK and filing some forms.

It really depends on what you're doing with the property. If you're letting it to someone else, then I imagine HM Revenue & Customs will be interested in the income you're getting.

Hi Dave,

Many thanks. I will not get any income from the property, and am I right to say that if I use it for less than 183 days then I carry on paying the tax here in the UK only.
