Does anyone here have any experience with "simming"?

Isn't that what last weeks Enterprise was about?

I thought it was doing something naughty with a mobile phone. "Forgive me Father, for I have simmed." Something like that.

From what i can gather, it is 'simulations". There are a number of sites (particularly Star trek ones where u can join Starfleet Academy) where u can join, develop a character of your own and be ssigned a part in a 'mission" of some kind. It appears u must be able to spend a minimum amount of time each week (no problem for most of US, i would think) on your assignment. It looks like fun, but i'm out of my depth with most of it, so i thought i'd ask if anyone here has done any. sort of like the old "role playing" i think, but it's all in cyber-space.
