Then read this book first! Authors Kay McMahon and Theodore Koukouvitis examine the 'make money online' (MMO) industry and delve into the snake pit to produce this guide for you about what the scams are, how they work, and how you can avoid them.

Don't try any 'make money online' scheme unless you have read this book.

Are you speaking from experience, "Austin"?

...in other words, are you the sort of person that "makes money online" by being paid pitifully low amounts to go and post illiterate drivel on other people's forums and blogs in the hope of getting a link for other people's websites? They also typically pretend to be somewhere they're not, like saying they're from Sydney when they're actually in somewhere like, say, Pakistan. Many of them have unlikely-sounding invented names too.

I'm sorry - it can't be much fun, though I'm sure the working conditions must be at least a little better than many of the alternatives. But I think your bosses are among the lowest life forms on the Internet: screwing money out of naive companies and paying downtrodden workers pennies to waste the time of webmasters with forum and blog spam.

LOL! It's somewhat ironic that the Snake Oil book is written by people who know a lot about the scams and scams in the online marketplace, and this guy comes along and tries to spam us.

Of all the places he could have tried, this was probably the least likely to succeed.
