Residency status and immigration issues

Long term residency permit - EU and non-EU citizens

Permanent Residency, Ordinary Residency or Temporary Residency? It depends on your financial circumstances, not on how much time you will spend in Malta. Getting it wrong could cost you dearly!

If you apply for this you will lose Non Dom taxation status where you are only taxed on income remitted to Malta. Also be aware of a minimum Malta tax liability of €5000 if your worldwide income is over €35,000, same limit for married or single if you stay with the regular residence card
